Blogging has a well known history of approximately 12 to 14 years. In all these years blogging has grown due to many factors. A blog has taken various forms and diverse utilities. Since blogs have been operated by common people and the monetization aspect as well as the audience and reach has grown over years, blogging could become a popular activity for many people. In the last few years the kind of competition and a struggle to find maximum possible number of visitors is on its peak, various tricks, styles and methods emerge as a quick solution, guest blogging is one of such development that has been here for last few years. In this article we will just think of guest blogging and the way Google sees it.
Guest blogging and Google’s take on it
The basic of guest blogging
Blog know in its earliest form is an online diary operated by a person. A blog is generally owned by a person though in last few years team blogs which are contributed by more than one person has grown in number. While blogging we come across to many other bloggers and some of them fetch our attention , we want them to contribute to our blogs and they also find it useful. This is where it all started and it should have been like this only but unfortunately it could not be the same for many people.
Google does not dislike guest blogging
Just changing the stream of discussion I should come to a very important question that is “Does Google dislikes guest blogging ?” and I need to make it clear at the early part of this post that Google does not dislike Guest Blogging as an idea but surely want to keep it good as it has to be.
The reasons for sudden increase in guest blogging
I personally believe that the thirst for building reputation , Google Page rank and need to have more and more content has led sudden increase in guest blogging. Guest blogging to any extent is not incorrect unless it involves some malpractice.
The bad part of guest blogging
Guest blogging is a good idea itself but some people like to modify things in their own interest and the things loose their interest in all this exercise. Posting a post on multiple blogs is bad practice, spinning or somewhat modifying a post and posting on various blogs is bad. Using irrelevant links on a guest post is wrong.
The factors that Google does not like in guest blogging or a guest post on your blog
The key goal of Google is to ensure that they deliver most accurate and useful result in their result page for a search query. Similar or duplicated content and spinning article is strictly not acceptable to Google. Apart from this using irrelevant links to generate higher page rank and diverting visitors to irrelevant or less quality content by using links in guest post is also not acceptable to Google.
One can post a guest post or receive a guest post without worry but should stick to the goodness of guest blogging.
