Setting up a blog is easy . If you do not have much technical skills , you can start a blog on a hosted platform like Blogger by Google. It is also recommended by me personally . If you wan more flexibility , controls and scalability , you can start a blog on a self hosted blogging platform like WordPress. Before setting up a blog with any blogging platform , it is advised that you go through all the the instruction carefully so that you can use all the feature of your blogging platform properly.
What should I blog about ?

When and how much should I blog ?
You can blog anytime and at any scale as per your convenience but the success of your blog may depend on the scale of content of your blog if you are writing about a very popular topic. If you are writing about some unique topic the scale of content will not be very important. In both the cases the quality of your content in terms of usefulness will matter the most. Whatever be the scale of posting but I strongly recommend that you post on a regular interval e.g. daily , weekly.
Why a person would like to read my blog when there are many famous blogs about every topic ?
If someone is famous does not mean that no one can be better that that person. Everything has a limit and an option. You must not target to become like some one but try to create your own identity. People will like to read your blog because they find it useful and interesting. Creating great content and taking that content to good number of people is very important. As you go on doing this and offer ways to people to stay connected with you , you will go on to build readership.
What is Search Engine Optimization, how important is it and where can I learn about it ?
Search engine optimization is making your blog better to be analyzed and understood by search engines and using most searched and relevant keywords/key-phrases in your content. Though these two points are the key but SEO is more than this in todays time. SEO is a broad concept that has to be taken very seriously. A blogger must know very basics of SEO while starting a blog.
