Here are some more tips for making you website more search engine optimized and friendly.

1. Internal And External Links

Internal and external links are very important from the prospect of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). You should use more internal links that relate to other relevant content of your website. You can also link to other sites you own where ever you can.

Using links that link to external URLs should be done carefully. The number of  external links that a site has is very important in SEO. Whenever you have an external link in your webpages, you are adding to the credibility of that site. You should only pass this Passive Juice/Credit to sites that you wish to. For others you can use the NOFOLLOW link relation(rel) attribute.

Learn more about NOFOLLOW and other link relation(rel) attributes.

2. Use Of Keyword Cloud

You should use a keyword cloud on your site you can use with your site. The blogging platforms Blogger, Wordpress, Joomla and others have widgets and extensions for this.

You can use the TAGCROWD service to create tag clouds.

Tag clouds will help visitors and search engines about the kind of and the quantity of the content with you.

3. Use Of Keyword And Their Consistency

You should use important words frequently in your content, header tags, titles, information, description etc. The frequency of keywords gives you an extra edge and there are more chances of search engines prioritizing you in search results. Due to the repetition of keyword in the content of your site, the search engines may believe your content more relevant for those keywords. You should make sure that you use relevant keywords or the search engines will throw you to the end of the results, they might also delist you for this.

You can also use these keyword in the anchor text for internal links and backlinks to your site. When the search engines find a specific word straight away linking to your site. They relate the word with the content of the linked webpage.

Learn more about anchor text and links.

4. Check The Pages Of Your Sites That Are Indexed By The Search Engines.

You should check the actual number of pages of your website indexed by the search engines. The more number of indexed pages gives more scope for you site to appear regularly in search results for a keyword.

You should also know that you are expected to have quality content to be visible in search results and the quantity of content relates to the quantity of quality content.

You can check the number of pages indexed by search engines by going to their webmaster controls interface.

Visit the Google Webmaster Tools

Visit the Bing Webmaster Center.

You need to have an account and your site should have been registered with them for you to see the details.

Use this tools to check the number of  indexed pages by search engines.

If the number of pages linked to is not in proportion to the actual number of pages on your site, the internal link structure of you site is not correct and you should create more internal links to your pages. The search engine crawlers may also not be able to crawl and index your webpages due to any reason. See to get help from the top search engines for the reasons of this.

How to make a website more Search Engine Optimized and Friendly? Learn Now, Article 2

I am continuing this series of articles on “Search Engine Optimization” in its 2nd article . I am sharing some simple but really important and effective tips for making website search engine friendly. Here we have few more such tips. I strongly recommend to read the earlier article(Article 1) of this series before readings this article. This article is in continuation with the earlier one.

www.ksnworld.com-search-engine-optimization-article-2

1.  HTML H Tags ( H1 to H6)

The HTML heading tags are of great importance in SEO(Search Engine Optimization). These tags are used to set the order and render CSS(Cascaded Style Sheet) effect to headings and important words. These headers are [H1], [H2],[H3] and so on. You can use theses to the best possible way (I recommend having all up to [H6]) but make sure that you have only 1 [H1] tag in a single page and the words used in this tag are the most important/relevant words for the page. This will help search engines understand the key text of your page and the relevancy of the content.

Read more about H tags
Use this tool to check the [H] tags in a page.

I recommend using a WYSIWYG(what you see is what you get) writer to write content and set H tags for important text.

2. The Image Search Engine Optimization

Images are used to make a webpage/website look good and to represent or associate the content with appropriate images. Apart from this images also play important role in SEO(Search Engine Optimization). The number of image searches made by people is increasing everyday.  The search engines can not see the images but read the image meta-data including the Alternate Text Attribute(ALT). You should use accurate and appropriate ALT tag to images that you have in your site. The image search engine, especially Google Image Search will index the images and show them in search results.

Read more about ALT tags and best ways to insert image.

Use this tool to check the ALT tags on a webpage.

I also recommend to restrict the number of images on a single webpage to make your web-pages light weight and support faster loading.

CSS spiriting  is also an important way to reduce number of HTML request and support speedy page load.

Learn more about CSS sprites

Use Sprite Me to to CSS sprites

3.  Text To Code Ratio

The text to code ratio is an important aspect for optimizing a page for search engines. This ratio lets search engine understand the quantity of text or content available on your website/webpage. You should always have more relevant text on a webpage to improve the SERP(Search Engine Ranking Performance).

Use this tool to check text to code ratio of a webpage.

4. Keyword Density

The keyword density is one important factor in SEO. A valid repeated use of a keyword in the content lets the search engines understand that the content is more specifically about a keyword . You should use relevant keywords more in the content of a webpage.

Use this service to check the density of a key word in a webpage.

The search engines are smart nowadays and  excessive, invalid or inappropriate use of irrelevant keyword will decrease the value of a page for search engines. Search engines may also penalize a webpage/website for doing this.

5.  Use of Flash, Frames and Ajax

Use of Flash should be restricted in a website from the prospect of SEO. Flash sites look beautiful but they take time to load and most importantly Flash content can not be completely indexed by search engines as of now. Still this will not be the case always.

Similarly the search engines have problems with Frames and Ajax( Asynchronous JavaScript and XML).

The search engines have been introducing technologies to index Flash and other rich media but still this type of content is not considered search engine friendly.

Read this from Google about flash and other rich media.

6. Use Of Blog On A Website.

Using blog on a website is great for SEO. Text is the most loved element of a web page by search engines. Having a blog and writing relevant content can give you a lot of traffic. Make sure that the content is authentic and original.

Various CMS(Content Management Systems) can be used to have a blog on a site. WordPress and Joomla are the best recommended by me.

I recommend having a blog that is integrated with your site so that you blog visitors can also access site in the same visit but you can also use links to your site from your blog.

A hosted solution for having a blog is Blogger by Google. Blogger is really a great and ever advancing service backed by reliable infrastructure and technology.

How to make a website more Search Engine Optimized and Friendly? Learn Now, Article 1

Search Engine Optimization is a term that many aspiring webmasters surrender before. Like other productive topics SEO(Search Engine Optimization) is also an complicated but possible and result oriented area of learning. Though SEO is not a one time learning course but once started, you learn things that are important and as you go on you keep on learning.

Learn Search Engine Opimization with www.ksnworld.com

Webmaster need to understand that traffic to a site is money it and getting organic traffic for free from search engines in the competitive world of internet is not very easy. Still there are people who have mastered the art of SEO by patiently learning it. Based on my own experience I am sharing few really important tips to make a website more Search Engine Optimized and Friendly. Following these simple tips one by one will make you website 90% more visible in search results.

Due to the possible length of the entire course and vast topics related to this, I have distributed this in series of multiple articles. This is the 1st article in tis series and will be followed by other articles.

Tip 1. Checking website traffic rank is the most easy and important step. You can use web traffic analytic and traffic rank service by Alexa.

Tip 2. The most simple, widely used way to SEO is social sharing. You can share your website content on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Digg and Stumble Upon. Pinterest is a new social media site with a different approach I suggest having an account with it and distributing content with Pinterest pins.

You should also have social sharing buttons on your website or blog, so that visitors to you site can share the content they like.

Tip 3. Mobile Version of website is a mandatory mechanism every site should have. Considering the huge and increasing number of mobile internet users, you may loose large number of visitors on not having a mobile site.

Use "How To Go Mobile" a service provide by Google to check your current site’s mobile compatibility and to create a mobile version of your site.

You can use services like http://quirktools.com/screenfly/ and http://viewlike.us/ to see how your site looks on different screen sizes

Tip 4.  You should also check the browser compatibility of you site on different browsers.http://browsershots.org/ is a good service that you can use for this. You can also declare that with which browsers your site is more compatible. However this is an old trend but I recommend if your visitors are from technically backward areas of the world.

Tip 5.  Your site should be able to resolve the WWW conflict. If you have a site abc.com then people should reach the homepage of your site even if they type abc.com or www.abc.com

Redirecting request has to be done for this and you can consult your web host or domain name registrar for this. This is important also because search engines conder URLs with “www” and without “www” as different URLs.

Tip 6. IP Canonicalization is basic but important step. There are different ways to get visitor of your website to your site but Your IP address should direct to the domain(website name) of you site. You can consult your host or domain registrar for this.

Tip 7. Your site should have a robots.txt file in its roots. The robots.txt file is the guideline you provide to search engines(search engines crawlers) as to how you want your site searched and indexed.

This is a bit complicated operation and I suggest to seek expert assistance if you can not do it on your own. This file should be written properly to make sure appropriate result and in case it is not so, it may harm SERP(Search Engine Ranking Performance).

Tip 8. Your site should have an XML site map and a link that search engine crawlers may access to reach this site map. Search engines kike Google allow you to submit a sitemap using Google Webmaster Tools.

Tip 9. Website or webpage title is also very important. You website/webpage should have a title which should be 10 to 70 characters including spaces and should consist of most relevant keyword to tour page and site. Refer to http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_title.asp to know more about title.

Website/Webpage meta description is also very important and I suggest to have a meta description of minimum of 60 to 160 characters including spaces. This description should be well formed and should include the most relevant keyword to your site. Visit this link http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_meta.asp to find more info about meta data.

Use http://www.seomofo.com/snippet-optimizer.html this service to check what and how your title and description will be seen by Google Search Engine. This will help you to have better title and description.

Tip 10. Meta keywords used to be very important but due to Red Hat SEO(Negative Search Engine Optimization Techniques) search engine spammers. The search engine nowadays offer very less attention to these tags. Even tough I suggest you to have most relevant meta keyword tags. Use this URL http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_meta.asp to learn about meta keyword tags.

So this is it for now in this article do also check the next articles of this series.

10 Ways to impress a girl – Simple tips to help you impress girls around you.

Well this is not a topic that I am very interested in writing about but I could see that many people are looking for ways to do this. How to impress a girl ? is a question that might come in minds of millions of youngsters everyday. A simple answer to this is that impressing a girl or creating attraction within two people of opposite genders is a very natural thing and happens naturally as people come across. Due to the obvious conservative nature of girls, boys usually find it difficult to impress girls. While trying to impress a girl, the boys just need to make this natural law of attraction work by reducing differences and distances very obviously.

How To Impress A Girl? Know at www.ksnworld.com

In this article I am going to share some basic tips that will help you to impress a girl.

1. The first and most important step is to have regular and gentle conversations. You should either discuss topics related to your studies,activities, work of any social topic that is commonly discussed. Not having regular conversation may eliminate the potential of any possible relationship.

2. People always try to be very different but the actual need is not to be very different, if you want to create space in mind of anyone you have to be special for that person. So just be very usual with the girl you want to impress and do not try to be extra smart. Trying to be extra smart in many cases will put you in difficult and humiliating situations. Be normal and usual. You should be very normal with things you do and you talk.

3. Expressions by words is the best way to reach hearts but the effective words are not measured in quantity and the sharpness of this tool is up to the way you use it. You have to be specific with your word and what you talk. So simply speak less but good. Some people believe that speaking less will keep you behind others and this is correct but this can be avoided by speaking on right time. Still speaking a lot may keep you out of league.

Girls generally like moderate speaking boys(men) and you have to be the same.

4. You have to express that you have a lot of interest in the girl you want to impress. You do not need to talk much about it but your acts should make this clear. Just a decent smile when you look at that girl will do the trick. The girl should be clear that you are providing attention to her but do not go strait away to express your interest in her. In most of the case straight away approaching a girl for any possible relationship produces negative results and may also spoil the prospect of future relationship. Relations need some time for building and in that time you should continue to show interest in that girl and wait for the right time to express this in word.

While doing this you should make sure that you do not make yourself aggressive with this thought and let the girl know that she is the only one for you(according to you). Not every girl like a man being in this passion about them. Be simple and gentle with your thoughts and expressions.

5. Girls generally like mild nature. So try to be of mild nature and be sensitive about the issues related to others(at least the girl you like). This is just an added advantage and you should not be over sensitive for others and ignore you key cause.

6. You have to express that you care about the girl but the message should not be that because you care for them, you will do anything they say. You should express that you love her but you also have some values and fundamentals.

7. This is a crucial step to find and know the interest areas of her. Even if you do not know or like and follow that specific interest. Still you should gain basic knowledge of it and discuss about this interest areas of her, only with her.

8. You have to be honest with her and be transparent with the usual aspects of your life like your background, work, social-financial status and relationships.

9. You have to let her know that you are an admirer of beauty but never directly praise some other beautiful girl in front of her and not even compare to show that she is more beautiful than  any other girl. She should only know that you praise beauty of a girl and she is that girl.

10. Avoid arguments of any nature. Even if there is difference of opinion you should let her know that you accept and respect her thoughts.

These are only few basic tips to make this easy for you. I will also write about this topic in future but for now you should know that knowing is different than implementing. The implementation of this is important and  I am saying this because I have never been good at this.

Blogger March 2012 SEO options update provides meta description and much more.

Blogger by Google has been the best non self-hosted blogging platform. Many Bloggers rely on the Blogger infrastructure and technology which is provided and managed by internet giant Google.  A self hosted competition which overtakes Blogger is WordPress . Wordpress is far more customizable than Blogger but requires time to look after the technical aspects of maintaining blog.  One key reason why WordPress could still be choice of more bloggers is because of the SEO and Meta-Data possibilities in WordPress But a we always know that Google does not like to stay behind and by an exciting step further Google/Blogger has introduce SEO preference controls for Blogger hosted blogs.

www.ksnworld.com-blogger-seo-features

Google/Blogger has introduced the following SEO and Meta-Data options in Blogger,

1. Blog meta description- Blogger allows you add a 150 character description to your blog. This description is for search engine crawlers to understand what your blog is all about. You can add a description by using SETTINGS>SEARCH PREFERENCES option in you blog dashboard.

2. Blog Post Description – This is a much awaited blogger feature to describe individual posts. This will help blogger to have a description for each post and make that post more search engine friendly. The option to add a description to the post is available in the POST SETTINGS options in the right side of NEW POST layout. This option is only available if you have set a blog description as mentioned in the point 1 of this article.

3. ALT and TITLE meta tags for images- This is also a great feature by Blogger considering the increasing number of image searches and use of images in blog posts. This feature allows you to set ALT TAGS(Alternate Text) and Title for images you use in blog posts. This will make it easy for search engines to find and show images from your blog in results for related search queries. However this option was also used earlier by experienced bloggers by using blogging applications like Windows Live Writes and such others. This feature available while uploading images using Blogger posting interface.

4. Custom Error Page allows you to use a custom HTML message to show when a page is not available on your blog. Currently Blogger shows its default error screen. This happens usually when someone tries to visit a page that is not available on you blog for any reason, most the reason is typing and spelling error. You can access these options by using SETTINGS>SEARCH PREFERENCES option in you blog dashboard

5. Custom Redirect allows you to redirect an URL to a different URL within your blog. You can access these options by using SETTINGS>SEARCH PREFERENCES option in you blog dashboard

6. Custom robots.txt And Custom robots header tags Feature  allows you to use custom entries in the robots.txt file in the root of your blog. The robots.txt file is used to instruct search engines that how they should crawl through you blog. I strongly recommend the use of this feature only if you are familiar with use of robot.txt file. Any incorrect entries in this file may result in poor search engine performance or anything worst that that.

This features provide you to scope to make your blog and blog post more search engine friendly.

Top reasons for the popularity and large number of users of Facebook

The “Facebookization” of Orkut has not taken too  long . Though we find many people “Orkutizing” Facebook, when we see thousands of subscribers number associated with fake profiles of beautiful girls. Anyway, our motto is not to challenge the manly attitude of social networking users but just to find out that why Facebook is so popular and people use it so much. I have figured out some humorous reasons for this. Many of these might not be very correct but few of them are seriously true.

1. Facebook is more specific than other social sites. I mean to say that Facebook has got lot of real members and people can find their friends and relatives very easily.

2. Some optimistic people believe that Facebook can be used to find friends(Girl-Friend is the correct word). I can say this because of the beautiful girls profile and subscribers ratio.

3. A lot of wok has taken people away from their friends and family but now people are trying to go away from their work and come close to their near and dear ones by using Facebook.

4. Some people think that updating Facebook status regularly is a sign of sincerity.

5. Companies, bloggers, celebrities and such other people believe that  Facebook page is mandatory to establish presence on internet and the least expensive mode of advertisement( Which is like finding water in desert)

6. People think that more Facebook likes  and comments is a symbol of popularity.

7. Some people think that having more Facebook friends is prestigious.

8. People think that every friend on Facebook is waiting know that what he or she is up to.

9. Few men think that liking and commenting on updates by women is a way to make some space for themselves.(Certainly in the mind of that girl.)

10. Women think that having more likes and comments and ignoring much of them is a sign of being beautiful.

11. many people think that using Facebook is the only good thing that can be done on internet.

12. Many newbies to internet think that using Facebook is using internet.

13. Many mobile phone manufacturers think that adding Facebook application can let them increase the price of their products.

14. Google thinks that Facebook will never become the no. 1 website and they do nothing to steal the social networking business.

15. Twitter thinks that they do not require the kind of users Facebook has.

16. MySpace thinks that Facebook will never allow its users to become friends with celebrities .

17. Many people in the world think that Facebook is funded by U.S government and using Facebook will save their nations from any attack by the U.S forces.

18. Many people believe that Facebook is a service in charity and is not commercial.

19. Some people even think that using Facebook regularly will make them popular and someday they will earn a lot of money by cashing their popularity.

20 People also think that ignoring updates by friends will weaken their friendship.

21. I think that Facebook is the only best way on internet to connect to real people you know outside Facebook.

Stop Blogger from redirecting to country specific domain extension.

www.ksnworld.com-blogger-redirect-prevention
Google is always making various changes to make their services better. The blogging platform Blogger is also owned by Google. The latest change that Google has made to it that any blog hosted on Blogger will redirect to a country specific domain extension. This makes Blogger hosted blog to redirect to a country specific URL, for example a blog “xyz.blogspot.com” hosted with Blogger will redirect to “xyz.blogspot.in” if the visitor is from India and similarly to “xyz.blogspot.au” for Australia and so on.

What Google is trying to achieve is that they can apply different policies for an unique blog in different countries. For example if a blog publishing content that is proper according to Blogger policies but may be objected in any specific country, Google can block that blog for that country only.

Though this is good for Blogger or Google but the blog publisher/webmaster may loose a lot. Primarily the reputation of pages on the internet.
There is a workaround for this that can be implemented to stop this redirect of your Blogger hosted blog. To do this go to the Blogger dashboard and select your blog. Now click Template from available options from the options displayed simply click Edit HTML and then Proceed. Search for the opening head tag <head>  simply copy and paste the code given below right after the (<head>) tag.
   1: <script type="text/javascript">
   1:
   2: var str= window.location.href.toString();
   3: if ((str.indexOf('.com/'))=='-1') {
   4: var str1=str.substring(str.lastIndexOf(".blogspot."));
   5: if (str1.indexOf('/')=='-1') {
   6: var str2=str1;
   7: }
   8: else {
   9: var str2=str1.substring(0,str1.indexOf('/')+1);
  10: }
  11: window.location.href =window.location.href.toString().replace(str2,'.blogspot.com/ncr/');
  12: }
</script>

Once you paste the code just save the template and now your Blogger hosted blog will not redirect to country specific URL.

Top tips and ways to earn from a blog.

Blogging is attracting many people across the globe. People are following blogging as a hobby or a part/full time profession. Making blogging a profession requires you to reach the basic blogging quotient(BQ). I have also found people very curious about how to earn from a blog? Here I have a starters guide explaining the primary ways to earn from a website or blog.

A primary way to earn from a blog or website is by showing them relevant advertisement and getting paid for this. Website owners get paid to show advertisements by three ways explained below.

1. CPC( Cost Per Click)

This is the most widely used manner of advertisements. In this method the publishers(website owners) get paid when they show advertisements on their websites and a visitor clicks on these ads. The payment for each click varies based on different factors.

2. CPM ( Cost Per Mile)

Cost per mile is another method generally used by sites with competitively higher traffic. In this type of advertisements the the publishers get paid for every thousand views of the ad. In this case also the earning for every thousand views may differ from case to case and based on certain factors.

3. CPA ( Cost Per Action)

This is also a popular advertisement method for niche (topic specific sites) websites. In this type of advertisements the publishers are paid when a visitor of their website does and act, for example the visitor buys a product from the advertiser or the visitor registers at the site of the advertiser.

Large sites like Facebook and Twitter have their own ad platforms and advertiser can directly publish their ads on such sites but small publisher need to register with various ad networks to show advertisements of different types on their sites. Following are the types of ad network generally available.

A. Contextual Advertisements.

The contextual type of advertisements are ads where  publishers put a HTML/JavaScript code in their webpages. This code is provided by the ad networks and when that page is viewed by a visitor. The code shows relevant advertisements to the visitor. The advertisements shown depend on various factor like the content of the page, location of the visitor etc. Ad networks like Google AdSense even show ads based on the search history of a visitor.

Google AdSense is the leading ad network for such types of ads and shares a large part of this market. Google AdSense has the maximum payout ratio and publishers always want to display ads by Google AdSense. The approval and participation norms by Google AdSense are very strict. There are hundreds of such ad networks available on the internet.

B. In Text Advertisements.

In text advertisement is another form of advertisement where similarly to contextual advertisement a code is put in webpages by the website owner but the ads shown are for a specific word in the content of the webpage. A word is highlighted or underlined and when a visitor hovers(moves the cursor) to this word an advertisement is displayed in a small box popping out  of the word.

Ad network like InfoLink and Kontera are leaders in such advertisements.

C.In image advertising

In image advertising is a type of advertisement where advertisement show are relating to the images shown on the webpage. Like other two methods mentioned above a HTML/JavaScript snippet/code is supposed to be put in the webpage.

GumGum is a leading ad network in  in image advertisements.

D. Affiliate Program

Affiliate programs are programs run by some ad networks. This method is a CPA method of advertisement and publisher show ads of the affiliates and get paid for an action by a visitor.

ClickBank is a leading affiliate program network

E. Direct Ad Space Sale.

Selling direct ad space on a website or blog is latest trend in advertisements in this type of advertisement. A publisher registers with an ad network and then the ad network sells the ad space to their client. The publisher decides which ad to show and after approving an ad the publisher gets paid. This is becoming popular in blog and site owners with decent traffic.

BuySellAds and BlogAds are  leading ad space selling networks.

The internet ad industry is growing rapidly and leading to people creating sites and blogs of different kinds. Apart from mentioned in this article there are many different types of ad networks and advertisement.
